I'm currently recruiting for a leading pharmaceutical company who are expanding their Medical Affairs team in the UK. They are looking for an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with expertise in cardiology, lipid lowering therapies, high cholesterol and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD).
This is a hybrid role with around 70% field-based activity, engaging with KOLs, HCPs, and academic stakeholders across the UK. If you're an established MSL in cardiology with a strong KOL network, this is an opportunity to step into a high-profile role with excellent career development.
The Role- Act as the scientific expert in cardiology, lipid lowering therapies and ASCVD.
- Build, manage and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and HCPs across the UK.
- Provide clear, evidence-based communication on therapies, clinical data and disease state education.
- Support advisory boards, congresses, symposia, and educational events.
- Partner cross-functionally with Medical, Clinical, Market Access and Commercial teams to align strategy.
- Identify clinical insights, competitor intelligence and future opportunities from the field.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in line with ABPI Code of Practice and company compliance.
- Must be a Biologist, PhD or PharmD.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an MSL in cardiology within pharma/biotech.
- Proven network of KOL relationships in UK cardiology.
- Strong knowledge of lipid disorders, cholesterol management and ASCVD.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, able to work independently in a field-based role.
- Willing to travel extensively across the UK (approx. 70%).
