The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
- Document & Case Preparation: Drafting, formatting and managing legal documents, court bundles and correspondence
- Case Management: Opening files, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with AML/CDD requirements
- Court & Client Liaison: Communicating with clients, courts, Counsel and third parties
- Diary & Inbox Management: Coordinating schedules, meetings and key deadlines for fee earners
- Court Processes: Preparing documentation via Quantum and managing e-filings
- Financial Administration: Supporting billing processes and managing transactional documentation
- General Support: Assisting with departmental administration and business development activities
About You: Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 1+ year’s experience working as a Paralegal in Family Law (UK practice essential)
- Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take initiative
- Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential matters
Technical Skills
You should be proficient (or able to quickly become proficient) in:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- iManage (document management system)
- Quantum (Family Court forms)
- Bundledocs / PDF bundling tools
- Legal research platforms (Practical Law / LexisNexis)
- Other systems such as P4W, SmartSearch, DocuSign and digital dictation tools
Working Environment
Location: Holborn / Lincoln’s Inn, Central London
Working Model: Fully office-based (5 days per week)
