Equifind are working with a highly regarded global financial services business based in the City who are looking to add a Financial Controller to the team. With a strong track record of growth in recent years, they are now diversifying operations into the tech industry through multiple acquisitions. They run a very nimble operation in the UK with overseas reporting and finance posts across the world.
This role will be reporting into an incredibly commercial and knowledgeable Head of Finance who heads up the global portfolio, needing to bolster support for the UK and Irish entities & acquisitions - ultimately granting you responsibility for a group of businesses.
Your role will cover:
- Oversight of outsourced finance functions
- Financial control
- Regulatory reporting
- Acquisition accounting
- Presenting MI packs and board reporting
It's a fantastic role for someone with an audit background with a couple of years PQE experience who is looking for something incredibly broad.
What will you be doing:
- Ownership of the month end close and reporting cycle for a portfolio of businesses
- Preparation and review of month end balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation and control of monthly management information
- Review and management of work performed by an off-shore finance department
- Preparation of annual financial and ownership of the year end audit process
- Preparation of period regulatory returns and ongoing monitoring of regulatory compliance as required
- Preparation of VAT, Corporate Tax and any other tax returns
- Assisting finance team with integrations of new acquisitions
- Driving continuous process improvement and efficiencies
- Lead of project work as and when required
- Training and development of further hires
- Review and preparation of regular cash forecasting requirements
- Preparation of board reports and presentation at board meetings
Application Criteria:
- ACA or CA qualified
- Possess a minimum of 2-3 years post qualified experience in industry
- Financial services experience or a strong desire to enter financial services
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment
- Strong communication skills
Compensation:
- £70,000 - £80,000 base salary
- Annual performance related bonus
