Job Purpose:

This is a broad role to provide additional resource to the finance team during the acquisition of the Empiric Student Property Group by the Unite Group. The departure of the CFO will put additional demands on the Group Financial Controller, and the Finance Integration Manager will help to support the Group FC and the rest of the finance team.

Job Description:

The detailed responsibilities are as follows:

  • Year end delivery
  • Group financial reporting requirements
  • Integration planning
  • Preparation of workings to support disclosures in the annual report
  • Reviewing, drafting and finalising the annual report (including the strategic report and related reports)
  • Responding to audit queries
  • Providing assistance to the group reporting team on complex audit, accounting and disclosure matters
  • Providing ad hoc assistance across the finance function to complete deliverables for year end reporting
  • Problem solving for complex areas to ensure resolved prior to delivery deadlines
  • Completion balance sheet workings (where required)
