The role supports the financial operations of the growing Social Housing practice, managing client and office accounts, ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules, and supporting month-end financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily client account transactions in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules
  • Performing client and office account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing client billing, completion statements, transfers, and financial transactions
  • Supporting office accounts, supplier payments, expenses and month-end finance processes
  • Assisting with compliance, audits, and financial reporting requirements
  • Working closely with conveyancing and operational teams to support client matters and finance-related queries

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within legal accounts, finance, bookkeeping or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience using legal accounting software, Xero or QuickBooks would be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams
  • Proactive, reliable and capable of managing workloads in a fast-paced environment
