The Opportunity:
As a key member of the Corporate Finance team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver financial due diligence assignments across a variety of sectors and transaction sizes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage financial due diligence assignments from planning through to completion
- Undertake and review detailed financial analysis, identifying key commercial findings and deal risks
- Prepare and review high-quality financial due diligence reports
- Identify key issues, opportunities and value drivers within transactions
- Project manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring delivery within agreed deadlines and budgets
- Liaise with clients, target businesses, funders, lawyers and other professional advisers
- Review and supervise work completed by Corporate Finance Executives and Assistants
- Monitor assignment profitability, budgets and resource allocation
- Build and develop external referral networks and intermediary relationships
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the Corporate Finance team
- Collaborate with colleagues across Audit, Tax, Business Advisory and other service lines to deliver comprehensive client solutions
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a confident and technically strong Transaction Services professional with a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
Essential Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified
- 2–5+ years' Transaction Services experience within a UK accountancy practice, corporate finance boutique or professional services environment
- Proven experience delivering financial due diligence assignments
- Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
- Experience preparing and reviewing quality of earnings, working capital and net debt analyses
- Strong report-writing and presentation skills
- Excellent project management and organisational capabilities
- Experience managing client relationships and working directly with senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to buy-side and sell-side due diligence projects
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
- Understanding of related disciplines including: Corporate Finance, Audit & Assurance, Corporate Tax, Insolvency and Restructuring, Transaction Advisory Services
- Active involvement in networking and business development activities
