About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared and served safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Your role will help create a positive dining experience for pupils and staff alike.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen
  • Washing up, cleaning equipment, and sanitising work areas
  • Supporting compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
  • Assisting with stock control, deliveries, and storage of supplies
  • Working collaboratively with the kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Carrying out additional duties as required by management

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
  • Is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
  • Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment
  • Has a basic understanding of food hygiene and safety (training provided)
  • Is eligible to work in the UK and able to pass a DBS check

Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
