This is a great opportunity for a dispute resolution solicitor or legal executive to join a well-established, high-quality team in Leeds, with the backing of a supportive environment and the momentum of a growing, forward-thinking firm. The caseload is mixed and will include both pre-litigation and litigated matters, with a strong focus on property litigation and professional negligence.

The Opportunity

  • Handle a varied disputes caseload from inception to conclusion (with appropriate supervision), including:
    • Pre-action strategy, drafting and negotiation
    • Issuing and progressing claims through the court process
    • Advising clients, taking instructions and managing expectations
    • Managing your own files with accurate time recording and billing
    • Supporting senior members of the team as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Essential
    • Qualified solicitor or legal executive 0 to 5 years+ PQE (or equivalent experience) with an interest in litigation
    • Interest and preferably experience in one or more of: litigation, professional negligence, property litigation
    • Confident engaging directly with clients, taking instructions and providing advice
    • Able to run matters from start to finish with good organisation and attention to detail
    • Familiar with accurate time recording and billing
    • Working knowledge of professional conduct rules relevant to your qualification
    • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach
  • Desirable
    • Experience of property litigation and/or professional negligence matters
    • Experience handling a busy caseload with competing deadlines
