Experience: 2+ years’ experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters

Our client is looking to appoint a Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Fee Earner to support the continued growth of a busy Clinical Negligence department. This is a great opportunity for a driven, client-focused fee earner who enjoys running matters end-to-end and wants to play a key role in a team that is expanding. You will handle a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence claims from inception through to settlement, including both pre-litigation and post-litigation matters.

Key tasks will include:

  • Managing clinical negligence claims from initial instruction through to settlement
  • Running both pre-action and litigated matters
  • Working to targets and KPIs while maintaining excellent client care

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • At least 2 years’ experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters
  • Excellent understanding of the CPR and the Pre-Action Protocol for the Resolution of Clinical Disputes
  • Experience managing complex claims from inception to completion
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience working to targets and KPIs
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

  • Experience using Proclaim
  • Experience training junior staff members
  • An interest in supporting marketing and business development activity to help grow the department
