Currently representing a financial institution that is looking for a senior Lead IT Systems Administrator to join their infrastructure team on a permanent basis. This is a high-visibility leadership role within a scaling FinTech environment. You will act as the primary architect and technical lead for the bank’s Atlassian ecosystem, with a heavy focus on evolving their ITSM and incident response workflows. It is a fantastic challenge for an expert who enjoys taking full ownership of a toolset to drive operational efficiency across a regulated business.
Location: London (Hybrid – 2/3 Days a week in the office)
Salary: Up to £65,000

Core Responsibilities- Platform Ownership: Leading the end-to-end administration, custom configuration, and long-term roadmap for Jira and Confluence.
- Service Excellence: Re-engineering ITSM processes and service desk workflows to align with the bank’s rapid growth.
- Technical Automation: Leveraging Python or PowerShell to build bespoke integrations and automate manual infrastructure tasks.
- Knowledge Leadership: Producing high-quality technical blueprints and mentoring cross-functional teams on system best practices.
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensuring all platform changes meet the stringent security and compliance audits required of a modern banking licence.
- Atlassian Specialist: You have a deep background in managing complex Jira environments at an enterprise level.
- Scripting Proficiency: You are comfortable writing code to connect platforms and streamline background processes.
- Regulated Sector Background: Experience within banking, fintech, or legal sectors is highly advantageous.
