Overview
We are seeking two experienced MIG Welders to support operations at our Knowsley depot on a temporary 12-week assignment. The successful candidates will be involved in the fabrication and welding of steel pipework and associated components, working primarily with Shed 40 and Shed 80 steel pipework.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding on steel pipework and general fabrication projects.
- Work with Shed 40 and Shed 80 steel pipework to required quality standards.
- Perform both coded and non‑coded welding activities where required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- Proven MIG welding experience within a fabrication or pipework environment.
- Experience working with Shed 40 and Shed 80 steel pipework.
- General fabrication experience.
- Socket‑welding and butt‑welding experience.
- Competence in TIG and MMA welding.
- Familiarity with BS EN ISO 9606‑1 welding standards is desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
Qualifications
- Welding qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
- Current coding is not essential; relevant industry experience will be considered sufficient for suitable candidates.
