The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and hands‑on Cyber Security Engineer to join their expanding IT team and play a key role in enhancing their security posture across on‑premises and cloud environments. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and support a range of IT security projects, ensuring secure and timely delivery
  • Manage and maintain cybersecurity tools for both on‑prem and cloud environments (cloud being a key focus)
  • Implement, configure, and update security solutions including EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, and cloud security tools
  • Collaborate with internal IT, development, and third‑party teams to embed security across all operations
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and OSINT investigations
  • Monitor emerging threats, zero‑day vulnerabilities, and new CVEs, assessing their potential impact
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending improvements
  • Deliver engaging security awareness training across the business
  • Provide security guidance for new technologies and strategic initiatives
  • Support day‑to‑day security operations and enforce strong change control processes
  • Assist with SOC alerts, investigations, and escalations

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Cyber Security Engineer or similar technical security role
  • Strong understanding of network, infrastructure, and application security principles
  • Practical experience with security tools and platforms, both on‑prem and cloud-based
  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
  • Experience in risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Hands‑on experience configuring and managing cloud security tools and IAM solutions
  • Knowledge of EDR platforms and vulnerability management processes
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, Azure Security Engineer) desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues for non‑technical audiences
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
