We are recruiting for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse experience, ideally within the food manufacturing sector, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, maintaining accurate stock control, and supporting production by ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched safely and accurately. A strong commitment to health & safety, quality standards, and teamwork is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Pick, pack and prepare orders accurately for dispatch.
- Complete all dispatch documentation accurately.
- Receive, process and store incoming stock, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation is maintained.
- Support the efficient management of inbound and outbound goods.
- Carry out stock checks and inventory counts as required.
- Confirm completed loads and report any discrepancies promptly.
- Operate a Forklift Truck and other mechanical handling equipment safely.
- Maintain high standards of warehouse housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Help reduce non-conformances by following quality procedures and identifying areas for improvement.
- Follow all health & safety, food safety and GMP procedures.
- Undertake manual handling and lifting duties where required.
- Report accidents, incidents, hazards and near misses in line with company procedures.
- Support the wider production team and carry out additional duties as required.
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
- Experience within a food manufacturing or food warehouse environment.
- Understanding of Food Safety, GMP and quality procedures.
- Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
