An opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Senior Finance Assistant to join my client’s finance team at their Head Office in Hereford. They have grown significantly since their inception due to their agile, tailored approach, industry knowledge and excellent client relationships.
The successful candidate will take the lead role on customer and supplier pricing, ensuring any changes are implemented, understood and clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders. You will be the Finance representative for bid and contract reviews, providing challenge for pricing discussions, ensuring a balance is met between value for money and profitability. Aiming to maintain tight control over the balance sheet and financial processes, ensuring monthly reconciliations are completed and instilling financial discipline within the organisation to safeguard the company’s assets. You will also be required to assist in the annual audit process, ensuring a smooth and efficient process in accordance with the audit timetable.
Skills/Requirements
- Previous experience of working in a similar role.
- AAT qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience.
- Ability to work in a timely and accurate manner, able to manage own workload ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Good communication skills at all levels within the organisation.
- Commercial Acumen.
- Experience of Sage 200 (or similar) and MS office.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and rapidly changing business environment.
- A ‘can do’ attitude and a positive approach to change and actively looking to improve processes and procedures.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo security vetting checks prior to appointment.
