Position Overview: Installation Engineer – Security and Fire Systems. Location: Hemel Hempstead. Contract type: Permanent. Salary: £35k – £40k basic plus overtime, travel time after 45 mins.

Responsibilities:
- Install, commission and maintain CCTV systems including Hikvision and Hanwhua platforms.
- Set up and support access control systems using Paxton and Brivo technologies.
- Configure and service intruder alarm systems including Galaxy and Texecom solutions.
- Install and maintain fire detection and alarm systems from manufacturers such as C‑Tec, Kentec and Advanced.
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance on existing security and fire systems.
- Troubleshoot technical faults and provide on‑site support to resolve issues.
- Work collaboratively on multi‑disciplined projects alongside other trades and specialists.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all installations and maintenance work.
Requirements:
- 5‑10 years’ experience installing and maintaining security and fire systems.
- Proficiency with Hikvision and Hanwhua CCTV systems.
- Working knowledge of Paxton and Brivo access control platforms.
- Experience with Galaxy and Texecom intruder alarm systems.
- Familiarity with fire systems including C‑Tec, Kentec and Advanced.
- Strong problem‑solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work safely and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions.
