Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Key Account Manager required to join a growing industrial distribution business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business development and managing a broad customer base across the South of England. You will focus on selling engineered industrial solutions, including pneumatics, fluid power, and power transmission components, to a range of end users and distributors.

The role involves:

  • Selling engineered mechanical and power transmission products, including pneumatics, fluid power components, bearings, gearboxes, couplings, belts, and associated solutions to end-users and distributor partners across the South of England.
  • Developing and managing key accounts with a focus on growth and long-term relationships.
  • Handling a broad range of industrial products, managing margin pressures and complex sales cycles.
  • Providing expert technical knowledge and commercial advice to clients on product applications and solutions.
  • Field-based role covering multiple locations across the South, including Milton Keynes, Somerset, Bristol, Kent, and Hertfordshire.

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager, or Technical Sales Engineer selling industrial products.
  • Proven distributor-to-end-user sales experience, ideally in power transmission, pneumatics, fluid power, or related mechanical products.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple accounts independently.
  • Established network within relevant industrial sectors.
  • Technical background or understanding of mechanical/industrial systems desirable.
  • Full clean driving license and willingness to travel across the South of England.

Package: £45,000 – £55,000 base salary (depending on experience), company car or car allowance, pension contribution, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare and additional benefits.
