We are supporting a well-established, privately owned manufacturing business with the appointment of a Health & Safety Manager to support a multi-site operation in the North East of Scotland. This is a hands-on, visible role offering genuine influence across operations, reporting directly to senior leadership and playing a key part in shaping a strong, proactive safety culture.

As Health & Safety Manager, you will take ownership of health, safety and environmental compliance across several connected operational and administrative sites. You will work closely with site teams and senior stakeholders to ensure best practice, legal compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Full responsibility for Health & Safety compliance across the division
  • Conducting regular site inspections and internal audits
  • Implementing and enforcing Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with UK legislation
  • Completing risk assessments, hazard analysis, and incident investigations
  • Ensuring accurate recording and reporting of all incidents, accidents, and HSE data
  • Developing and delivering Health & Safety training and toolbox talks
  • Monitoring compliance with environmental regulations and permits
  • Supporting and reinforcing waste management and environmental best practices
  • Preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies
  • Acting as a visible presence on site, promoting a positive and practical safety culture
  • Driving continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environmental performance

About You: You will be confident working autonomously, comfortable engaging with colleagues at all levels, and experienced within a manufacturing or industrial production environment.

Essential requirements:
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, Chartered IOSH (or working towards Chartered status)
  • Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Previous experience in a similar Health & Safety role
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritise, and work independently
  • Confident communicator with a practical, solutions-focused approach

Package & Benefits:

  • Salary: Industry competitive, dependent on experience (circa £45,000 – £50,000+)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, core office hours with flexibility on start times
  • Annual Leave: 30 days per annum
  • Benefits: Private health insurance, Death in service cover
  • Pension: Auto-enrolment (5.5% employer contribution)
