If you're an experienced residential property solicitor who enjoys running files with minimal supervision, and you're also the sort of person who likes helping others develop, this is a strong opportunity to join a well-established team in Harrogate.

Our client is looking to add an experienced Solicitor into their Residential Property team.

This role combines hands on fee earning with the chance to supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff, helping the wider team deliver a consistently high standard of client care.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing a caseload of residential property matters, including sales, purchases and re mortgages
  • Progressing matters efficiently, keeping clients updated on progress and costs throughout
  • Maintaining high standards of client care in a professional, approachable way
  • Supervising, supporting, developing and mentoring junior lawyers and conveyancing executives/assistants
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of client and firm information at all times
  • Achieving agreed billing and time recording targets
  • Taking ownership of credit control on your own matters in liaison with the Accounts team
  • Working in line with the firm's procedures, quality standards and office manual
  • Supporting marketing and business development activity with the wider department
  • Contributing to training and your own ongoing professional development

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor (admitted to the Solicitors Roll)
  • Strong experience handling residential sales, purchases and re mortgages with minimal supervision
  • Confident supervising and mentoring others, with a supportive, team first approach
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Well organised, with good diary management and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working to procedures and maintaining quality standards
  • Professional, resilient and tactful when dealing with clients and colleagues
