We are hiring on behalf of our clients, who are leading construction and civil engineering contractors working on various projects. Because specific duties can vary heavily from job to job, we are looking for versatile, all-around Groundworkers who can adapt to different site requirements, from initial excavations through to external finishing.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a wide range of ground preparation tasks, including excavations, foundation work, and pouring concrete.
  • Assist with the installation of deep/shallow drainage, pipework, and service ducting.
  • Complete external finishing works such as kerb laying, slab installation, and block paving.
  • Work safely alongside heavy plant machinery (excavators, dumpers) and follow site instructions efficiently.
  • Maintain strict health and safety standards on-site at all times.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Groundworker on commercial, residential, or civils sites.
  • CSCS Card
  • Strong understanding of general site safety, ability to follow engineering instructions, and comfortable with physical, heavy labor.
  • Possession of your own basic hand tools and full standard site PPE.

Machine Tickets (Desirable):

  • Any valid CPCS / NPORS tickets (Forward Tipping Dumper, Roller, Excavator) or safety certificates (Abrasive Wheels, Confined Spaces) are highly advantageous but not always mandatory.
