Wessex Chemical Factors Ltd is a UK-based, family-run chemical manufacturer established in 1983. We manufacture and supply specialist cleaning and chemical products in-house, supplying wholesalers, retailers and trade customers across marine, hospitality, transport, plumbing and defence sectors. We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Operative.

The Role

This is a varied position combining warehouse operations, stock control and local delivery work. You will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately, dispatched efficiently, and delivered professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations
    • Picking and packing customer orders
    • Preparing goods for dispatch
    • Supporting annual stock taking
    • Manual handling of materials and stock
    • Supporting stock control
  • Logistics & Deliveries
    • Carrying out local deliveries within BH, DT, SO, PO and SP postcodes
    • Ensuring safe and professional customer deliveries
    • Completing delivery documentation accurately
  • Equipment & Maintenance
    • Basic maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklift, ladders, roller shutters)
    • Supporting fleet maintenance checks
    • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Customer Care
    • Representing the company professionally during deliveries
    • Supporting trade customers with collections

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Full UK driving licence (required)
  • Forklift License
  • Comfortable with manual handling
  • Good English (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Reliable, organised and proactive
