About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Procurement Team Leader to oversee the sourcing and purchasing of food products for our growing business. This position plays a key role in ensuring product availability, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and supporting commercial performance through effective purchasing decisions. The successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and a data‑driven approach to procurement. Working closely with colleagues across sales, finance, operations, supply chain, and marketing, you will help drive purchasing efficiency, cost optimisation, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for food products, ensuring purchasing activities align with business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop supplier partnerships to secure competitive pricing, quality standards, and reliable supply.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, tendering exercises, and commercial discussions to achieve favourable terms and cost efficiencies.
  • Monitor market conditions, industry developments, pricing trends, and competitor activity to support informed purchasing decisions.
  • Review business performance data and demand forecasts to maintain appropriate stock levels and support sales requirements.
  • Assess procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise supply disruptions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to coordinate purchasing requirements and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, contractual obligations, and relevant regulations.
  • Produce procurement reports and performance analyses to support management decision‑making.
  • Supervise and support procurement team members, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Food Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a procurement, sourcing, or purchasing role within the food, FMCG, or related sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, inventory planning, and supply chain operations.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial and operational data.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications and procurement or ERP systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Professional proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
