PSM Recruitment is looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk on behalf of our client based in the Dover area. You’ll need strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and good organisational abilities. This role is ideal for individuals who are interested in the transport and customs clearance industry and who have experience within this sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Navigate the duty and VAT costs for consignments
- Process import and export declarations
- Handle enquiries from importers and exporters on Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and documentation requirements
- Learn how to interpret and apply customs regulations and tariffs
- Check documentation for accuracy and ensure compliance with international trade laws
- Stay up to date with changes in customs regulations and procedures
Key Skills & Qualifications:
