We are hiring for our client, a leading global manufacturer within the materials processing sector, for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their expanding team across the Campsie or Omagh site. The Role
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the Engineering team, ensuring delivery of all design, development and improvement activities across multiple concurrent projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Engineering Department including workload planning, resource allocation and performance management
- Managing New Product Development projects from concept through to completion in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Driving continuous improvement, cost reduction and product redesign initiatives
- Developing and maintaining engineering standards, processes and metrics
- Ensuring quality, safety and reliability standards are embedded across all design activity
- Supporting manufacturing and sales teams with technical engineering expertise
- Overseeing CAD systems and engineering documentation standards
- Managing, mentoring and developing engineering team members, including performance and recruitment decisions
- Maintaining project records, design standards and technical documentation
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
The Person
- Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in design engineering
- Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams
- Strong 3D CAD experience (Creo preferred)
- Background in machinery, aggregates or mineral washing equipment desirable
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and drive change
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets
