This is a senior leadership position for an outstanding operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment. Working closely with the Director of Engineering, you will lead a highly skilled team, oversee the day-to-day engineering operation, and play a key role in delivering major projects while maintaining the impeccable standards expected of a world-renowned luxury property.
We're seeking an individual with both luxury hotel engineering and construction project experience, who can confidently lead from the front, inspire their team, and drive operational excellence across every aspect of the department.

Responsibilities as the Deputy Director of Engineering:
- Deputising for the Director of Engineering and leading the department in their absence
- Managing the day-to-day operation of a 26-person engineering team, including four direct reports
- Driving exceptional standards across planned and reactive maintenance programmes
- Leading engineering projects, refurbishments and construction works while minimising disruption to hotel operations
- Ensuring full compliance with all statutory regulations, health and safety legislation, and company policies
- Supporting the development, mentoring and performance of the engineering management team
- Managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Working collaboratively with senior hotel leadership to deliver an outstanding guest experience through first-class facilities management
