We are currently supporting a global end client of ours in their search for an IT Data Engineering Expert. You will be responsible for the design, documentation, and maintenance in the risk canonical schemas and data relationships, supporting the Dev Lead and ensuring a scalable, traceable and consistent model.

Role/Responsibilities
- Must have 5β10 years in data modeling for commodities, trading, or financial systems.
- Must have advanced data modeling (3NF/6NF, canonical modeling, lineage).
- Strong SQL comprehension (read + interpret).
- Strong conceptual and logical modeling capabilities.
- Design and maintain the canonical data schema for trades, positions, P&L, prices, valuation, and their entity relationships.
- Lead conceptual/logical data modeling for physical/financial commodities that support multiple business and regions.
- Ensure strong referential integrity, historical versioning, and lineage across ingestion and transformation flows.
- Familiarity with trading lifecycle, physical flows, and pricing mechanics.
- Experience with SAP, CTRMs, or similar systems is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills.
