Experienced Courier / Multi-Drop Supervisor Required

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Courier Supervisor to oversee early morning multi-drop delivery operations within a fast-paced depot in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity for a transport, logistics, or courier professional with proven experience managing multi-drop drivers and parcel distribution.

You will play a key role in ensuring all delivery routes, driver dispatch, and warehouse sortation processes run efficiently, supporting a high-volume courier operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Courier & Transport Operations
    • Supervise multi-drop delivery drivers to ensure timely departures
    • Act as the main point of contact for drivers during delivery routes
    • Manage real-time delivery issues, including delays, breakdowns, and failed drops
    • Monitor time-critical and premium courier deliveries
    • Support loading, dispatch, and route execution when required
  • Route Planning & Parcel Distribution
    • Plan and allocate multi-drop delivery routes for maximum efficiency
    • Coordinate daily parcel volumes, trailer arrivals, and dispatch schedules
    • Ensure accurate parcel scanning, sorting, and loading processes
    • Track performance against strict dispatch deadlines and KPIs
  • Warehouse & Depot Operations
    • Open and secure the depot as a key holder
    • Oversee morning parcel sortation for courier deliveries
    • Manage workflow across warehouse and dispatch teams
    • Maintain a clean, organised, and safety-compliant depot environment
  • Team Leadership & Driver Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of drivers and warehouse operatives
    • Promote a hands-on, “lead from the front” management style
    • Drive performance across multi-drop delivery targets and service levels
    • Encourage strong communication and accountability
  • Quality, Compliance & Performance
    • Carry out parcel quality checks, identifying damages or mis-sorts
    • Investigate delivery and routing issues using systems and CCTV where required
    • Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and system updates
    • Maintain high standards of health & safety and operational compliance
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve multi-drop routing efficiency and depot operations
    • Support ongoing optimisation of delivery performance and customer service levels
    • Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a courier, logistics, or multi-drop delivery environment
  • Strong understanding of route planning, driver management, and parcel distribution
  • Experience supervising multi-drop drivers or transport teams
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume courier depot
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Good IT skills (scanning systems, tracking software, dispatch systems)
