About the Role
We are a specialist facade design and installation business working across residential and commercial projects throughout the UK. As architectural facades become increasingly complex, we collaborate closely with architects, developers and manufacturers to deliver innovative, performance-led and cost-effective facade solutions. Our design approach combines structural engineering, building regulations and advanced modelling to support ambitious architectural visions. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Designer to join our growing design team based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career designer to gain hands-on experience within the facade and construction industry, working on a wide range of technically challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of facade design drawings, layouts and technical details
- Support the development of design solutions for facade systems and building envelopes
- Produce, update and amend drawings using CAD and other design software
- Assist with coordination between architects, engineers and contractors
- Support compliance with building regulations, standards and project specifications
- Help prepare technical documentation and design reports
- Participate in design reviews and project meetings
- Learn and apply best practice in facade performance, sustainability and buildability
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Basic understanding of building design and construction principles
- Experience using CAD software, Revit or similar
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
