We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and experienced Trade Customer Service Assistant to join a fast-paced and busy working environment. The successful candidate will have strong customer service experience and, ideally, a good understanding of the window and door industry. This role is central to the day‑to‑day operation of the business, acting as a key point of contact for trade customers and supporting internal teams to ensure orders, deliveries, and customer enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of customer care. Proven customer service experience is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Communication
- Provide a high level of customer service to trade customers via phone, email, and in person
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers through clear and professional communication
- Quotations & Orders
- Handle customer enquiries relating to quotations, pricing, and product availability
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Respond to customer enquiries regarding order status, lead times, and progress
- Transport & Deliveries
- Work closely with the transport team to support customer care calls
- Assist in coordinating deliveries to ensure they run smoothly and on schedule
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery times, changes, or issues
- Administration & Operations Support
- Print, prepare, and organise delivery and order paperwork
- Assist in ensuring products are ready for dispatch in line with delivery schedules
- Support general administrative duties related to customer service and logistics
- Cover & Team Support
- Provide cover for delivery runs during periods of holiday or staff absence when required
- Support colleagues across departments to ensure continuity of service and smooth daily operations
