About the Role

Hatched Talent Solutions are supporting a long-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Somerset. They are seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join their busy Machine Shop on a day shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate 2-, 3- and 3+2-axis CNC milling machines
  • Produce small to medium batch components to high quality standards
  • Inspect finished parts using various measurement tools
  • Conduct 1st-off inspections for other machines
  • Adjust machine settings confidently with minimal supervision
  • Maintain tooling and replace inserts as required
  • Complete deburring operations as instructed
  • Perform routine machine maintenance
  • Operate overhead cranes (training provided)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CNC milling machines
  • Experience using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
