An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction lawyer to join a high-growth clean energy team at a leading UK law firm. The Role

As a key member of a nationally recognised energy and construction practice, you will support major clean energy projects and transactions across a range of emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating construction and project documentation
  • Advising on EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and LTSAs
  • Supporting project development, acquisitions, and disposals
  • Working on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar, wind, hydrogen and other renewable technologies
  • Managing supplier agreements and component warranties
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across offices
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the clean energy practice

About You

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
  • 5+ years’ PQE in construction and/or commercial projects work
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts (EPC, O&M, supply agreements)
  • Proven ability to work on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects
  • Excellent technical drafting and commercial negotiation skills
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset

Desirable Experience:

  • Exposure to renewable energy or infrastructure sectors
  • Familiarity with FIDIC, MF/1 or similar contract forms
  • Experience with BESS, solar, wind or hydrogen projects
  • Understanding of multi-jurisdictional or cross-border transactions
