The Opportunity
As part of an established and collaborative Private Client team, you will manage a varied caseload while building long-term relationships with clients and professional contacts. You will be responsible for:
- Advising clients on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Managing Court of Protection matters
- Providing clear, sensitive and practical legal advice tailored to individual circumstances
- Meeting clients both face-to-face and remotely
- Drafting legal documentation accurately and efficiently
- Building and nurturing strong client relationships
- Maintaining compliance with SRA regulations and internal procedures
- Managing files effectively and ensuring high standards of client care throughout
- Supporting business development initiatives and helping to generate new opportunities
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and KPIs
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Minimum 2 years' PQE in Private Client law
- Previous UK private practice experience handling private client matters
- Proven experience managing a caseload of: Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters
- Excellent drafting and technical legal skills
- Strong knowledge of relevant private client legislation and procedures
- Exceptional client care and relationship management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail
Desirable
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP accreditation
- Experience with trusts and estate planning
- Business development or networking experience
- Experience using legal case management systems
