The Opportunity

As part of an established and collaborative Private Client team, you will manage a varied caseload while building long-term relationships with clients and professional contacts. You will be responsible for:

  • Advising clients on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Managing Court of Protection matters
  • Providing clear, sensitive and practical legal advice tailored to individual circumstances
  • Meeting clients both face-to-face and remotely
  • Drafting legal documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Building and nurturing strong client relationships
  • Maintaining compliance with SRA regulations and internal procedures
  • Managing files effectively and ensuring high standards of client care throughout
  • Supporting business development initiatives and helping to generate new opportunities
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and KPIs

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Minimum 2 years' PQE in Private Client law
  • Previous UK private practice experience handling private client matters
  • Proven experience managing a caseload of: Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters
  • Excellent drafting and technical legal skills
  • Strong knowledge of relevant private client legislation and procedures
  • Exceptional client care and relationship management abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail

Desirable

  • STEP qualification or working towards STEP accreditation
  • Experience with trusts and estate planning
  • Business development or networking experience
  • Experience using legal case management systems
