Reporting to: Finance Controller

Summary of Job Purpose: To provide support to the Finance function by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions across the business. The role contributes to the effective operation of core finance activities, including maintaining financial records, supporting transactional processes, and assisting the wider finance team in meeting reporting requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Ledger (Debtors)
    • Raise and submit sales invoices to customers
    • Prepare and send customer statements
    • Chase outstanding debtors on a regular basis
    • Allocate incoming receipts to customer invoices
    • Respond to customer queries in a timely manner
    • Assist with setting up new customer accounts
  • Purchase Ledger (Creditors)
    • Process supplier invoices and match to purchase orders where applicable
    • Allocate supplier payments to invoices
    • Assist with weekly payment runs under supervision
    • Reconcile supplier statements
    • Respond to supplier queries
    • Assist with setting up new supplier accounts
  • Bank & Cash
    • Post and update bank transactions in the accounting system
    • Perform basic bank reconciliations
    • Support monitoring of bank balances and cash position
  • General Finance Support
    • Assist with month-end processes (e.g., reconciliations, data preparation)
    • Support the Finance Controller with ad hoc administrative finance tasks
    • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
    • Assist with resolving discrepancies and identifying issues
    • Provide general administrative support to the Finance team
    • Support process improvements where appropriate
    • Undertake other duties as required in line with the role
