Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Wireperson to join our production team in Chew Magna. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a long-term career in electrical manufacturing. Full training will be provided, so no previous experience as a wireperson is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
The Role
- Assemble electrical control panels and components.
- Wire control panels from engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Prepare, strip, crimp and terminate cables.
- Fit electrical components and sub-assemblies.
- Carry out basic electrical testing and quality inspections.
- Use a variety of hand tools and assembly equipment.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
- Work safely and follow company procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine interest in electrical or electronic assembly.
- Good practical skills and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), particularly in Maths, English or a technical subject, would be advantageous.
- Previous manufacturing, assembly or workshop experience is beneficial but not essential.
