LOCATION – Bristol

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a specialist Engineering company operating within the Hydraulic and Pneumatic sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their production team by taking on an Assembly Engineer to work at their site in Bristol.

Attributes

  • Previous experience working with hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems
  • Strong mechanical assembly skills with a good understanding of engineering drawings
  • Experience building or testing systems such as manifolds, actuators, valves, or control units
  • Familiarity with pipework, hose fittings, and pressure testing
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and accurately
  • Apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop new skills

Responsibilities

  • Assembling hydraulic and pneumatic systems to precise specifications
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
  • Conducting functional and pressure testing to ensure system integrity
  • Assisting in fault-finding and rework when required
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Liaising with the engineering and design teams to ensure production requirements are met
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly department
