The Opportunity

As a Tax Senior, you will join a specialist tax team delivering a wide range of advisory services to SMEs and owner-managed businesses (OMBs). You will work closely with senior team members on planning projects, gaining invaluable experience that will support your progression to Manager level and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of tax advisory projects for SMEs and OMBs
  • Support senior colleagues on tax planning assignments across corporate and personal tax
  • Identify and develop tax planning opportunities within existing client portfolios
  • Attend client meetings, contributing to discussions and identifying advisory opportunities
  • Conduct technical research and prepare clear, practical written advice
  • Build upon compliance knowledge to support high-quality advisory recommendations
  • Collaborate across service lines to provide joined-up client solutions
  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to overall service excellence

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • CTA qualified (or within 0–2 years PQE)
  • 3–6 years’ UK practice experience in tax, with a strong compliance foundation
  • Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses
  • Solid knowledge of UK tax legislation, including corporate and personal tax matters
  • Exposure to tax advisory work (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with a genuine interest in developing advisory expertise
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
