The Opportunity
As an Audit Senior, you will take the lead on audit assignments from planning through to completion, acting as a key point of contact for clients and supporting the development of junior team members. You will gain exposure to a broad range of sectors while building the leadership and commercial skills required to progress to Assistant Manager and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit assignments on‑site and remotely, from planning to completion
- Manage audit fieldwork, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Maintain compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS)
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback
- Prepare audit findings reports, identifying key risks and recommendations
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships
- Manage resources effectively, delegating tasks and monitoring progress
- Work collaboratively across service lines to deliver a holistic client service
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to team development initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- 3–6 years’ UK practice experience in audit and accounts, including post‑qualified experience (PQE)
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS
- Experience in leading audits and managing client relationships
- Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and audit methodology
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience with CCH, Inflo or similar audit software (advantageous but not essential)
