About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their growing commercial team based in Basildon.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with experience in aluminium glazing, windows, doors and curtain walling to become part of a successful and expanding business delivering both commercial and residential projects.
Working closely with Sales, Technical, Design and Production, you will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations, reviewing technical specifications and supporting customers throughout the estimating process.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining high quotation accuracy, delivering excellent customer service and maximising commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating & Quotations
- Prepare accurate quotations for aluminium window, door and curtain walling systems.
- Interpret architectural drawings, schedules and specifications.
- Produce costings using Logi Kal and other estimating software.
- Ensure quotations are commercially competitive whilst protecting company margins.
- Respond to customer enquiries and technical questions.
- Technical Support
- Review project specifications and identify suitable system solutions.
- Liaise with Design, Production and Sales teams to ensure technical accuracy.
- Identify potential design or manufacturing issues before order.
- Support customers with technical product information where required.
- Customer Service
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal departments.
- Provide professional communication throughout the quotation process.
- Maintain excellent response times and customer satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement
- Assist in improving estimating processes and quotation accuracy.
- Support implementation of best practice across the estimating function.
- Maintain accurate project and quotation records.
About You
The successful candidate will have
- Previous estimating experience within aluminium glazing, windows, doors, curtain walling or façade systems.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and workload management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Software Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable
- Logi Kal (preferred)
- SchüCal
- Reyna Pro
