Job Purpose

Support the Asset Management Department through the supervision of the Company Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, ensuring optimisation, integrity & accuracy of the maintenance strategy, Operations, Maintenance & Engineering Department compliance. This role is critical in enabling informed decision-making across asset management, operations, and planning.

Principal Responsibilities

  • General
    • Ensure EAM System compliance in line with the Company maintenance strategy and HSE Management System, throughout the area of responsibility.
    • Collate, update and maintain an accurate asset database in line with the Company’s policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all asset registers are periodically reviewed and updated, with respect to equipment, categories, hierarchies & criticalities.
    • Liaise with the Operations, Maintenance & Engineering Departments on the status of assets pre and post maintenance/inspection activities and any asset changes.
    • Engage with equipment suppliers & subject matter experts to regularly update the lifecycle status of Company assets.
    • Provide up to date commercial pricing to assist the Asset Manager in developing short term and long-term budgeting strategies.
    • Participate in planning, preparing, and coordinating of Maintenance Shutdown campaigns.
  • EAM System Support
    • Expert in the use of an EAM System, ensuring preventative maintenance (PM) activities are being correctly scheduled and closed, as well as corrective maintenance (CM) activities being appropriately raised, prioritised, and closed.
    • Review Company Work Order Programs (PMs), this includes allocated disciplines, tasks, and manhours, to improve and streamline where possible.
    • Maintain the EAM System alongside the system provider, ensuring any troubleshooting and rectification activities are completed in a cost effective and timely manner.
    • Complete additions/modifications of assets and planned maintenance schedules, in-line with management of change procedures.
    • Review existing EAM rules and configurations, identifying inefficiencies, duplication, or misalignment.
    • Apart from the system supplier, design and implement best-practice rule logic for work generation & task planning; and facilitate updates in line with approved changes to optimise the asset management strategy.
    • Work with the Procurement & Stock Controller to ensure all required spare parts and required tooling are linked into the preventive maintenance plans, ensuring sufficient stock is available to complete the planned/forecast preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintenance Strategy Alignment
    • Propose changes to the maintenance strategy as appropriate to reflect the Company’s risk appetite, asset criticality, and performance objectives.
    • Conduct regular on-site inspections and audits of maintenance activities to verify quality compliance.
    • Support the optimisation of maintenance rules to reduce downtime, extend asset life, and improve lifecycle outcomes.
  • Reporting
    • Create & enhance reports, dashboards and KPIs, to support performance monitoring and governance.
    • Analyse asset data to identify improvement opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
    • Produce clear reports and insights for key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • An industry recognised technical qualification (minimum HNC level) in Engineering or working towards.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, with the ability to ask insightful questions and effectively use available resources to obtain relevant information.
  • Experience of industrial plant equipment e.g. instrumentation, motors, switchgear, valves, compressors, pumps etc.
  • Excellent understanding of asset management & management of change systems used in the oil and gas, or energy industry.
  • Knowledge & understanding of the standards related to asset management and reliability & maintenance data for equipment and their application in industry.
  • Practical knowledge of a CMMS/EAM system from a supervisor, user, and/or implementation perspective.

  • Ability to foster and build relationships across teams.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Experience working with large data sets and asset information.
  • Proficiency in data tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power BI or etc.).
