We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead and oversee our quality assurance and control processes within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards (e.g., CE marking, BS/EN standards, local building regulations).
This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest quality standards across all operations, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of quality excellence. The Quality Manager will coordinate quality audits, manage quality systems, and support product development initiatives to meet customer expectations and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
- Lead internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee quality control and inspection processes throughout manufacturing to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage quality assurance activities to ensure products meet specified standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project management initiatives related to quality improvements.
- Analyze data from quality inspections and audits to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Facilitate training programs on quality systems, policies, and procedures for staff at all levels.
- Ensure documentation accuracy for all quality processes in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing process performance metrics and implementing best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in a quality role within uPVC window fabrication or similar manufacturing environment preferred.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Quality certification preferred.
- Continuous Improvement certification an advantage.
Skills
- Proven experience in conducting and managing quality audits within manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of quality control, inspection techniques, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining effective quality management systems (QMS).
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams on complex initiatives.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills for training staff and collaborating with regulatory bodies.
- Experience in manufacturing industries with a focus on QA/QC processes is highly desirable.
