Assistant Project Manager - Ireland

Tradeline have partnered with a shopfitting contractor that is looking to appoint a Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of retail fit-out projects across Ireland and the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in commercial or retail construction who is looking to take on a varied role, working closely with senior management and clients from pre-construction through to project completion.

The Role

  • Support the Senior Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of multiple shopfitting projects.
  • Assist with project planning and coordinate with clients, designers and subcontractors.
  • Help manage project programmes, budgets and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects meet health & safety, quality and building regulation requirements.
  • Identify and manage project risks to minimise delays.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and project teams.
  • Work alongside senior management to improve processes and support future business growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager or similar construction role.
  • Experience delivering commercial or retail fit-out/shopfitting projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with Auto CAD experience beneficial.
  • Able to work on your own initiative and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience working within the Irish or UK construction market.
  • Fluent English.
  • Spanish language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
  • Knowledge of retail fire alarm and sprinkler systems would be beneficial but is not essential.
