Tradeline Recruitment require a Multi-Trader / General Builder to work across Oxfordshire. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of responsive and planned maintenance works across occupied council properties. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and can provide a professional and respectful service to tenants. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently when required, managing their own workload, and maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship.

Typical Works Include:

  • Carpentry and general repairs
  • Groundworks and external maintenance
  • Gutter repairs and replacements
  • General building and property maintenance
  • Reactive maintenance and small refurbishment works

What We’re Looking For:

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Confident communicating with tenants and representing the company positively
  • Comfortable working independently and lone working when required
  • Experienced across multiple trades with strong practical ability
  • Competent using technology and software systems to log completed works, upload photographs, and provide proof of completion
  • Able to work efficiently while maintaining excellent standards

Ideal Experience:

  • Social housing maintenance
  • Property maintenance contracts
  • MOD (Ministry of Defence) maintenance environments
  • School or public sector maintenance
  • Local authority or housing association repairs

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative / General Builder
  • Own vehicle and tools preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to travel across Oxford and surrounding areas
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
