The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of responsive and planned maintenance works across occupied council properties. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and can provide a professional and respectful service to tenants. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently when required, managing their own workload, and maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship.
Typical Works Include:
- Carpentry and general repairs
- Groundworks and external maintenance
- Gutter repairs and replacements
- General building and property maintenance
- Reactive maintenance and small refurbishment works
What We’re Looking For:
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Confident communicating with tenants and representing the company positively
- Comfortable working independently and lone working when required
- Experienced across multiple trades with strong practical ability
- Competent using technology and software systems to log completed works, upload photographs, and provide proof of completion
- Able to work efficiently while maintaining excellent standards
Ideal Experience:
- Social housing maintenance
- Property maintenance contracts
- MOD (Ministry of Defence) maintenance environments
- School or public sector maintenance
- Local authority or housing association repairs
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative / General Builder
- Own vehicle and tools preferred
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to travel across Oxford and surrounding areas
