Residential Valuation Surveyor - London and Home Counties - £Neg (DOE)

We are actively seeking Residential Valuation Surveyors from Assistant to Senior level to work for a growing independent firm of Chartered Surveyors, covering properties wihtin London and the Home Counties.

Hybrid and remote working is part of the role.

About the Role You will be responsible for carrying out a range of residential surveys and valuations across London and the surrounding counties, which include

  • RICS Level 2 Home Surveys
  • RICS Level 2 Home Surveys with Valuations
  • RICS Level 3 Building Surveys
  • Residential Market Valuations
  • Reinstatement Cost Assessments
  • RICS Red Book Valuations (where VRS registered)

This role offers the autonomy to manage your own diary while benefiting from full administrative support, quality assurance, and modern digital systems that allow you to focus on delivering exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities - dependant on experience

  • Conduct RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 2 Home Surveys with Valuations, and Level 3 Building Surveys.
  • Carry out residential market valuations, reinstatement cost assessments, and Red Book Valuations (where VRS registered).
  • Produce accurate, detailed, and professional reports using our digital reporting platform.
  • Identify building defects, explain their causes, and provide practical recommendations for repairs and ongoing maintenance.
  • Deliver clear, jargon-free advice to clients before and after inspections.
  • Manage your own workload and diary efficiently with support from our administration team.
  • Ensure all work complies with RICS standards and quality assurance procedures.
  • Keep up to date with industry regulations, legislation, and best practices.

About You Our client is looking for someone who is passionate about property, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and enjoys building long-term relationships with clients.

Dependant on experience

  • Assoc RICS, MRICS or FRICS qualification (dependant on level).
  • RICS Registered Valuer (VRS) status, or be eligible to register.
  • Experience carrying out Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 2 Home Surveys with Valuations, and Level 3 Building Surveys.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction, building pathology, defects, and valuation principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Confidence using digital survey software and technology.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within your allocated area
