We are currently looking for an experienced Externals Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major project in Great Yarmouth. This is an initial 3-month contract overseeing a package of external works, with a strong possibility of further work upon completion.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing the external phase of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard. The package will primarily consist of:
- Groundworks and external infrastructure
- Hard and soft landscaping
- External finishes
- Coordination of subcontractors
- A small element of demolition works
Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining site standards, managing health & safety, monitoring programme and ensuring quality throughout the delivery of the externals package.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering external works packages
- Strong background in groundworks and infrastructure
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety and quality procedures
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates
- Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor is advantageous
