We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to join a busy construction environment supporting multiple live projects. This is a key role responsible for ensuring all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical records, is accurately managed, distributed, and archived in line with internal procedures. You will work closely with surveyors, contract managers, and wider project teams to maintain efficient and consistent document control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain drawing registers for multiple projects
  • Log, track, and distribute incoming and revised drawings accurately
  • Ensure timely issuance of documentation to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain project records including schedules, specifications, and technical documents
  • Support surveyors and contract managers with document control and filing systems
  • Assist the estimating team with tender documentation and registers
  • Support marketing teams with PQQ submissions and document management
  • Help prepare and collate Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
  • Provide guidance to site teams on document management systems
  • Ensure documents are stored correctly within the company’s CDE/database
  • Manage project archiving in line with retention policies
  • Arrange secure disposal of confidential documentation when required

About You

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction or a similar industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Trimble Viewpoint
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
