Are you looking for your first step into recruitment? Want a career where your hard work is recognised and rewarded?

Tradeline Recruitment Ltd is an established construction recruitment company with over 18 years of trading history and a £35m turnover.

We are looking for two ambitious, enthusiastic, team-focused individuals to join our established recruitment team at our head office in Bedford.

This is an exciting time to join a company with experience and a track record of working on some of the country's leading construction projects and with some of the country's leading contractors.

No recruitment experience? No problem. We'll give you the support and knowledge you need to build a successful career in recruitment.

What we're looking for is the right attitude, work ethic and personality.

Who are Tradeline Recruitment?

We are an established specialist recruitment agency working within the construction industry.

Our team supplies skilled construction professionals to sites and contractors all over the UK.

We're proud of the business we've built - but we're even prouder of the team behind it.

People stay here - and that's important to us.

We pride ourselves on having a low staff turnover, with many members of our team having been with us for 10+ years and a management team that has developed from within the company.

We believe that says a lot about the environment we've created.

Our management structure is visible, approachable and hands-on. We don't disappear into offices - we are based in the office every day, working together as a team.

You’ll have access to support to help you develop - while also expecting you to take responsibility to forge your own path within the business.

Teamwork is at the heart of what we do.

Recruitment can be competitive, but we believe the best results come from working together.

You will succeed here if you're a team player.

We help each other, share knowledge, celebrate success and support each other when things don't go to plan.

We're looking for people who want to be part of a team rather than simply work alongside one.

What will you be doing?

As a Trainee Recruitment Resourcer, you'll work closely with our experienced Recruitment Consultants to find and engage candidates for roles across the construction industry.

Your day will be varied, busy and people-focused.

You’ll be

  • Speaking to candidates over the phone and building relationships.
  • Searching for and identifying suitable candidates.
  • Learning about different construction roles, trades and the industry.
  • Matching candidates with suitable job opportunities.
  • Registering candidates and keeping records up to date.
  • Advertising vacancies and attracting new candidates.
  • Developing long-term relationships with candidates.
  • Using recruitment databases, job boards and other systems.
  • Having a social media presence.
  • Conducting RTW checks on workers.
  • Supporting experienced consultants and learning from them every day.

And as your confidence and experience grow, so will your responsibilities.

What we're looking for

We're not looking for a perfect CV.

We're looking for the right person.

You’ll probably be a great fit if you are

  • Confident speaking to people on the phone.
  • Friendly, outgoing and able to build rapport.
  • Team-focused.
  • Motivated.
  • Resilient - you don't give up when things don't go your way.
  • Organised and able to manage a busy workload.
  • Hungry to learn and develop.
  • Positive, reliable and hardworking.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a team and contributing to its success.

Recruitment experience isn't essential.

We welcome applications from people looking to start their first career in recruitment, as well as candidates from sales, retail, hospitality, customer service, telesales, administration or other people-focused backgrounds.

Where could this take you?

This isn't just a job - it's an opportunity to build a long-term career.

You'll receive ongoing support from experienced recruitment professionals.

As you develop, there is a clear opportunity to progress from Trainee Recruitment Resourcer to Recruitment Consultant, with the potential to take ownership of your own candidates, clients and desk.

You’ll be joining a business where people can genuinely build a career.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive basic salary.
  • Full support - no previous recruitment experience required.
  • Ongoing coaching.
  • Experienced, approachable managers who work alongside you every day.
  • A stable and established business with excellent staff retention.
  • Clear career progression.
  • A friendly, supportive and competitive team environment.
  • Team incentives and recognition.
  • The opportunity to build a long-term career in recruitment.

If you're looking for a 9-to-5 job where you simply turn up and go home, a career in recruitment probably isn't for you.

But if you're ambitious, competitive, resilient, enjoy talking to people and want to be part of a successful team where your effort is rewarded, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need recruitment experience.

You don't need to know the construction industry.

You just need the attitude and determination to succeed.

We're looking to appoint two Trainee Recruitment Resourcers to join our Bedford head office.
