Our client is a leading specialist construction and refurbishment contractor covering projects within the Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Residential sector. Due to continued growth, they seek a Quantity Surveyor who has worked for a subcontractor.
You will report into a Commercial Director, who will assist you and help you to develop, with ongoing training and support given to the right individual as well as support in Day Release qualification if required.
Our client is seeking a career-driven, excellent communicator who wants to define their career with a growing construction business delivering excellent post-contract commercial work within the UK Construction market.
Daily duties:
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
- Undertake cost analysis for fit out and refurbishment projects
- Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
- Work in accordance with the HSQE Management System requirements
- Perform risk, value management and cost control
- Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks
- Allocate work to subcontractors
- Provide advice on contractual claims
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
- Value completed work and arrange payments
- Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
- Understand the implications of health and safety regulations and other compliance obligations
