Our client is looking for a Lead Air Conditioning / HVAC Engineer – Commercial & Domestic on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to lead and grow a new in-house HVAC division. This is not just another engineer role. We are looking for someone who wants to come in, take ownership, and help us build and grow our own internal air conditioning and HVAC division.
The right person will have strong experience across both commercial HVAC systems and domestic air conditioning, with the ability to work on larger commercial plant such as AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, split systems, ducted systems, cassette units, ventilation systems and general AC/HVAC equipment.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installation work across a mixture of commercial and domestic sites. The work will include:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning and HVAC systems
- Working on commercial AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, splits, multi-splits, ducted and cassette systems
- Domestic air conditioning installation, servicing and breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults and providing practical, cost-effective solutions
- Supporting with site surveys, quotes and technical advice
- Liaising professionally with clients and the office team
- Helping to shape how our in-house HVAC division operates
- Supporting future recruitment, training and growth of the team as the division develops

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and confident working independently. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience in air conditioning and HVAC
- Experience working on commercial systems, including larger plant and AHUs
- Domestic air conditioning experience
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- F-Gas qualification
- A full UK driving licence
- A professional, customer-focused approach
- The ability to manage jobs from start to finish
- A positive attitude and pride in doing the job properly
