Tradefield is currently looking for an experienced roofer to join one of the leading conservation and heritage specialists across the North of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on prestigious projects involving listed and heritage buildings, where attention to detail and respect for traditional construction methods are essential.
As an experienced roofer, you will have a strong understanding of working with various types of slate and the importance of preserving historical features, including original roofing structures. The majority of projects are located within two hours of York, with minimal travel required. There is little to no staying away unless you choose to do so for projects exceeding this distance.
This is an exciting position for the right individual looking to develop their career within high-quality restoration and conservation works.
To be successful in your application, you should have:
- A minimum of 6 years' experience as a roofer
- Experience working on listed or heritage buildings
- Experience working with various types of slate roofing
- An NVQ in Roofing (preferred but not essential)
- A full UK driving licence
- Ideally be based within 1 hour of York (flexible up to 2 hours)
