TradeField are currently looking for an experienced Qualified Electrician to join a commercial client working across Newcastle and the North East. This is an excellent long-term opportunity, with a two-year programme of work already secured.
The Role
The primary work will involve the installation of 16-amp commando sockets across commercial sites throughout the North East. The majority of projects will be located within approximately two hours of Newcastle, although there will occasionally be a requirement to work further afield and stay away overnight. When working away, accommodation, food and fuel expenses will be fully covered.
Typical duties will include:
- Installation of 16-amp commando sockets
- Containment installation
- Commercial electrical installation works
- Electrical testing knowledge
- Working across retail, distribution and other commercial environments
- Working independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Have 6+ years' experience working as an electrician
- Have strong commercial electrical experience
- Have good knowledge and experience of electrical testing
- Ideally have previous experience working within retail, warehouses or distribution centres
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Be comfortable travelling throughout the South West and occasionally staying away
- Be reliable, professional and comfortable working on an ongoing programme of commercial projects
Please note: Due to the insurance requirements for the client's fleet vehicles, electricians who will drive those vehicles must be aged 30 or over.
