We are looking for new colleagues who share our passion for valuable work to support our rapid growth. This is a key position in Tradebyte’s Retailer business unit. You will lead the team charged with identifying and engaging with potential platform partners (marketplaces and retailers) and bringing them into our network to start and grow a successful marketplace business. You will report to the Business Unit Vice President. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous leadership experience is essential (ideally with sales and/or consulting teams).
- Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding targets, preferably in a software products and solutions or SaaS company.
- Highly organised and able to coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage projects effectively.
- Some ecommerce experience, particularly knowledge of marketplace business models, is preferable.
- Able to handle demands, targets, guidelines, and high stress situations while creating a positive team environment.
- Excellent networking and business acquisition skills, and preferably a strong network of senior level contacts within the European retail industry.
- Some previous experience with or understanding of technical processes would be a bonus.
- Fluent English is essential and German is preferable but not essential. Additional languages are also a bonus.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be responsible for leading and supporting our Retailer New Business team (including Sales and Consulting), overseeing their activity, driving best practice and identifying mentoring and coaching opportunities.
- You will be responsible for the commercial development and targets of the team, based on numbers of new customers and consulting services sold.
- You will manage the demand of inbound leads and coordinate with our Project Management team to correctly prioritise new retailers.
- You will work closely with the Business Unit VP to develop a new go-to-market strategy for outbound sales and ensure that the team achieves the defined targets.
- You will lead regular 1-2-1s with all team members, weekly team meetings and will work closely with your counterpart in the DTC New Business teams to organise cross-Business Unit meetings on a regular basis.
- You will help to drive our eCommerce Consulting offering to the next level, both in managing our existing technical consulting offer, and in developing the extension of our offer into management consultancy services.
- This is a management role and you will not be expected to close business of your own; however, you will use your experience to support the sales and consulting team and will be actively involved in high value opportunities. This may involve some international travel (within Covid guidelines) to represent the company at industry events.
- You will also utilise your existing network of senior level contacts where possible.
